These large round Bolga baskets are hand-woven from the elephant grass which grows in the rich flood plains of the White Volta near the village of Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana.

These ones are sustainable sourced working with the same community since 1997, creating a wonderful relationship. 

They’re equipped with durable leather handles and are perfect for shopping, in the garden, around the home or just sitting pretty.

Loose grass can be easily tucked back in or trimmed off

Colour may fade over time in sustained direct sunlight.

Buff your leather handles with clear boot polish or leather conditioner

Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fibers or dyes used in the basket.
For stubborn stains, you can try spot cleaning with a mild soap solution and then patting dry with a clean cloth.
